Right Honourable Nick Gibb MP sends letter to school congratulating languages entry
We are delighted to receive a letter from the Right Honourable Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Standards, congratulating us on our excellent achievement in entering 86 per cent of students for a language GCSE in 2018.
"With 86 per cent of pupils entered for a language GSCE in 2018, your school is in the top 10 per cent of all state funded mainstream secondary schools in the country."
The breadth of the Languages offer at William Ellis School is a distinctive part of our curriculum. Through learning another language students gain a greater understanding of their own, develop their communication skills, appreciate language and culture and open doors for their future.
