Teacher of History (& Politics) – suitable for NQTs
You would be joining the well-established History & Politics team to teach History across all key stages and, ideally, Politics at key stage 5. The department achieves excellent outcomes for students across the attainment range and enjoys a high take-up at GCSE and A Level. The head of department is an experienced practitioner who is in a position to support the development of a colleague who is keen to enhance their professional expertise. The subject curriculum is well developed and the team have worked together to develop clear and rigorous assessment schemes. There is good collaboration with teachers of other humanities subjects.
The successful candidate will be:
- a highly motivated and inspirational classroom practitioner
- committed to maximising pupil progress through setting high standards and by delivering effective teaching and learning
- able to motivate, lead, support and challenge students to be successful
