School policy regarding absence for protests.
8 November 2011
Dear Parent/Carer
Involvement of William Ellis School students in protests against education cuts
I would like to remind parents and carers of the policy the school adopted last year regarding our students participating in the protests against education cuts. If your son wishes to participate and he has your consent he is not to come into school. I would ask you to inform us of this absence in writing and it will be recorded as unauthorised absence.
If any student is found to incite or pressure other students to participate in any action that prevents the school from functioning or puts the welfare of themselves or others at risk, disciplinary action will be taken.
