This week's WESPA Round-Up
WESPA Round Up | Band triumph, International Evening 2024 and where is 7K?
Dear families,
It’s all go in the WESPA camp setting up the various events for this term. Huge congratulations to the WES bands who played Earthfest last Saturday - you performed brilliantly and were so professional. And huge congratulations also to our deputy headteacher Bernie Lane who zipped round the London Marathon in an astonishing 3 hours and 28 mins. Wow!
International Evening 2024
Please put a massive marker in your diary for the WES International Evening. It will be on Thursday 20th June 2024 from 5.30-7pm. Last year was a lovely event. We had music from Georgia and Bolivia, dance from the Philippines and Peru, and Bengali and Ukrainian poetry amongst many other things, not to mention delicious food from all around the world kindly donated by parents. The event is free and all family and friends are welcome - a wonderful way to celebrate the cultural diversity of our school. Please look out for the International Evening email next week with lots more details on the event and how you can get involved.
Year 11 Leavers’ Celebration
Thank you once again to all the families who have donated and helped get this year’s event up and running. WESPA Trustee Vicky has been doing an amazing job putting everything together for what will be a great night for the boys and their teachers. We are making a booklet for the boys which will include form photos from Y7 and Y11 - a bit of a change over the years! We have all the class photos except 7K - can anybody help?
WESPA are also collecting messages from Y11 students, parents and carers to send on to their teachers in a card at the end of term. Please take a moment to say a few words to each of your teachers or to all of them together - it is really appreciated.
