Seclusion and Reflection Centre Supervisor

The school wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Seclusion and Reflection Centre supervisor to work directly with students across Key Stage 3 and 4 who experience a range of needs and challenges.  The successful candidate will play a key role in the school. The Pastoral side of the school is very impressive with fantastic support.

 

Applications are invited for a September start

PO1 (£35,682 - £38,148) 35 hours per week, term time + 10 days, pro rata salary (£32,135 - £34,356)

Ideally you will have similar experience working in a secondary environment.

Main responsibilities:

  • To share a role in the development of nurture principles to ensure that barriers to learning are reduced and to support students in achieving their full potential.
  • To supervise the SRC, contributing to the whole school approach of positive behaviour.
  • To oversee and monitor the co-ordination of support for all students referred into the SRC.
  • To help deliver programmes of support to identified students and support their reintegration into mainstream lessons.
  • To create and sustain an environment that allows for reflection and acts as a deterrent to future misbehaviour.
  • To provide one-on-one mentoring to students to foster this reflection, addressing both specific incidents, damaging patterns of behaviour, and the students’ relationship to school life in general.
