    Role: Pastoral Support Manager     

    Salary: Scale PO1, SCP 28 - 31, £38,109 - £40,347 (actual salary per annum) 

    Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only, Fixed Term contract to 31st December 2026 

    We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Pastoral Support Manager to join our Pastoral team and work directly with students across Key Stage 3 and 4 who experience a range of needs and challenges. The role also holds Assistant Head of Year responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in the school. The pastoral side of the school is very impressive with fantastic support.  

    Ideally you will have similar experience working in a secondary environment and be available to start from April 2026. 

    The successful candidate will be:  

    • To share a role in the development of nurture principles to ensure that barriers to learning are reduced and to support students in achieving their full potential. 

    • To supervise the Bridge, contributing to the whole school approach of positive behaviour.  

    • To oversee and monitor the co-ordination of support for all students referred into the SRC 

    • To help deliver programmes of support to identified students and support their reintegration into mainstream lessons 

    • To create and sustain an environment that allows for reflection and acts as a deterrent to future misbehaviour 

    • To provide one-on-one mentoring to students to foster this reflection, addressing both specific incidents, damaging patterns of behaviour, and the students’ relationships to school life in general. 

    • To support Head of Year to lead in the provision of high-quality pastoral care across a designated year group so that all students are cared for and make excellent progress in their academic and personal development.
